Fiber Cable Classification

Connector and Boot Color Coding
Connector boots indicate fiber mode and polish type:
- UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) Single-mode – Blue boot
- APC (Angled Physical Contact) Single-mode – Green boot
- Multimode (OM1/OM2) – Beige boot
- Multimode (OM3/OM4/OM5) – Aqua boot This ensures proper matching and reduces back reflection or insertion loss during installation .
